6 Days Gorillas and Chimpanzee Wildlife Safari
The 6 Days Gorillas and Chimpanzee Wildlife Safari will majorly focus on Mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest national park. Which is specifically a home to more than 400 gorillas surviving in the greater Virunga conservation area.
This Park is not only a habitant to gorillas but also to many attractions such as butterfly species, 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds and 27 endemics of the Albertine rift valley, trees, plants, ferns among others. Thus making it a tourist destination because of its uniqueness.
Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park homes 13 primates whereas Queen Elizabeth National Park has diverse attractive features such as wildlife, primate’s species, over 500 species of birds. The Park is commonly known for the famous tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector for this reason. Furthermore you will also enjoy sightseeing on a launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day: Pickup from the Airport and Transfer to Kibale.
After an early breakfast, you will be met by your guide who will transfer you from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe to Kibale Forest via Fort portal. While here you will have a splendid lunch and stunning views from Mountain Rwenzori.
When you arrive at the park, you will continue and straightaway head for a visit to the beautiful crater lakes area. And also get a chance to see the lush and terraced tea estates on the way. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast on an early morning, set out with the driver guide to the park headquarters for chimp tracking experience. You will be briefed first about the rules and regulations and thereafter at exactly 8:00am. Start chimpanzee trekking through this rain-forest as you will be guided by the park rangers. But on your way, different birds, flowers and plant kinds will meet your eye.
When you finally meet the chimpanzees, you will enjoy the one hour thrilling moment with the chimpanzees’ face to face. And in addition watch them engage in their daily activities for instance playing, jumping and feeding among others.
Last but not least, head straight to the lodge in order to have lunch. After lunch, check out as you embark on your 3 hours journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. And reach in the evening for the game drive through the park and finally to the lodge for dinner and on the contrary have a pearl night stay.

Day 3: Morning Game drive & Launch cruise
Wake up very early in the morning and set out for a game drive. Where you will see some early risers along the Kasenyi track such as Elephants, antelopes and leopards etc. After the drive which takes 2 to 3 hours head back to the lodge for late breakfast and on the other hand have a later lunch.
In the afternoon, go for launch cruise on Kazinga channel. This is one of the exciting experiences on water. Getting close to see crocodiles, hippos and several bird species among others residing along the banks of the channel. Return to the lodge, freshen up, have dinner and an overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
After breakfast, drive to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector with a chance to sight the famous tree climbing lions and many other wildlife species. Along the way you will enjoy nice landscape views. Have a brief stopover for lunch and arrive at the park/lodge in the afternoon. Have a relaxed evening and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking and a visit to Batwa Community
This is the major highlight of the safari. After breakfast, your driver guide will take you to the park headquarters for briefing. Remember to carry your passport, packed lunch, enough drinking water. Have the right clothing mostly important good hiking boots. On reaching there by 7:30am, you will be briefed about what to do and not to do while trekking. After which you will be led by the ranger guides through the mist jungle.
Trekking usually takes between 3 to 8 hours or even a full day depending on the location of gorillas. When you see them, it will be a great and fun time as you watch them but however only 1 hour is permitted to watch them. Later, head back to the lodge, have lunch as you prepare to for a community visit among the Batwa people in the afternoon.

Day 6: Transfer Back to Kampala to End the Safari.
After breakfast set off for Kampala, having lunch in Mbarara. And a stopover for photography at the Equator in Kayabwe. You can definitely buy some souvenirs.
